Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Educational Innovation UHAFIZ (JEDUIN) must align with the Focus and Scope and adhere to the Author Guidelines. This journal is committed to research novelty and the development of applied communication science. Manuscripts that offer new contributions to research and applied communication studies are highly encouraged.

Authors are required to comply with Ethical Standards related to the implementation of research or experiments that may pose risks or affect human psychological conditions. Therefore, any study involving clinical interventions or experiments must include supporting evidence or statements regarding Ethical Clearance.

Manuscripts must be written according to scientific journal formatting standards. Citation rules must follow the APA Citation Style. Authors are advised to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero and select the APA Style citation setting.

Manuscripts submitted to this journal may be written in English or Indonesian. Manuscripts in either language must follow proper grammatical standards. If a manuscript written in Indonesian is accepted, it must be translated into English and undergo proofreading.

Authors must ensure that the work has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere for consideration. To verify originality, all manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software. Authors are encouraged to use online tools such as Turnitin™ or iThenticate™ to check similarity levels. The journal’s editors will also conduct a similarity check using the same services (maximum similarity threshold: 25% based on the Turnitin™ report).

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which the authors’ identities are concealed from the reviewers and vice versa. Manuscripts will first be assessed by the Editor in Chief for suitability. Eligible manuscripts will be forwarded to at least two independent expert reviewers for scientific evaluation. If necessary, a third reviewer may be assigned. The Editor holds the final decision on acceptance or rejection, and the decision is final.

The final acceptance of a manuscript is determined by the Editor in Chief and/or Handling Editor (with the Editorial Board if required), based on reviewers’ critical comments (though not solely dictated by them).

Publication of accepted articles, including the determination of the issue in which the article appears, will be arranged by the Editor in Chief considering the submission acceptance date, geographic distribution of authors, and the thematic focus of the journal issue.
