Stunting remains a critical public health issue that affects child
growth, human capital development, and long-term health
outcomes. To address this challenge, the Government of Cianjur
Regency implemented the Permata Kamila Program as a strategic
initiative to accelerate stunting reduction and prevent new
stunting cases (Zero New Stunting). The program adopts an
integrated approach by strengthening community-based
nutrition services, providing assistance to families at risk of
stunting, and enhancing coordinated health administration across
sectors. This study aims to describe the implementation of the
Permata Kamila Program and evaluate its outcomes in achieving
Zero New Stunting in Cianjur Regency.
This study employed a descriptive evaluative design with a
quantitative approach. The program was implemented across 32
sub-districts, involving 47 primary health centers, 157 villages,
and 137 nutrition posts as intervention points. The main
intervention consisted of providing supplementary nutritious
food to children under five and pregnant women at risk of
stunting. Menu development was conducted in collaboration with
the Cianjur Association of Nutritionists to ensure compliance with
targeted nutritional standards. Prior to distribution, all food
products underwent food testing and evaluation to ensure
quality, safety, and acceptability.
The results demonstrate that the Permata Kamila Program
achieved extensive and coordinated coverage. The prevalence of
stunting in Cianjur Regency decreased to 7.2% in 2025, and no
new stunting cases were identified in the intervention areas
during the evaluation period. The program also strengthened
community participation and the role of nutrition posts in growth
monitoring. In conclusion, the Permata Kamila Program is an
effective strategy for achieving Zero New Stunting and is suitable
for replication in similar settings.
