Abstrak

Stunting is one of the priority health problems in Indonesia, including in Yogyakarta, and is strongly influenced by the lack of knowledge among pregnant women regarding nutrition and preventive behaviors starting from early pregnancy. The use of digital technology provides an opportunity to improve access to health education more effectively and sustainably. This study aims to analyze the role of digital application–based education in improving knowledge and stunting prevention behaviors among pregnant women in Yogyakarta. The research employed a descriptive analytic design with a cross-sectional approach involving pregnant women who used a pregnancy education application. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire covering knowledge, attitudes, and stunting prevention practices. Data analysis was conducted using statistical tests to determine the relationship between the use of digital applications and the improvement of maternal understanding. The results showed that the use of digital applications significantly increased knowledge related to nutrition, antenatal care, and stunting prevention practices. In conclusion, education delivered through digital applications can serve as an effective learning medium and has the potential to be integrated into maternal health programs to reduce the risk of stunting. This study recommends the development of more interactive application content and collaboration with healthcare professionals to enhance the effectiveness of digital interventions.
